The raw material glass, in the form of hollow glass tubes, is heated in flame to an elastic state. Experienced glassblowers blow them freely over the flame into rounds, toppers, cones or spinning tops.
Complex shapes such as stars, birds, hearts or complex figures are blown with the aid of special aluminium molds.
From the idea about a model out of modelling clay, the shape is manufactured into a plaster model, aluminium mold until the finished christmas ornament is lovingly decorated by hand.
